Linux is a great system. If you are or an aspiring data scientist, you will most likely end up working with Linux. You should start learning or at least get your hands dirty while practicing it. In this article, I will demonstrate how you can get Linux up and running in no time, on your Windows 10 system.

  1. Launch Windows Feature Tool: Click the “Start” button and search for “Windows Features”. Click on the “Turn Windows features on or off” app. That should open up a new window.

2. Enable & Apply Windows Subsystem: Scroll to the bottom of the window and check the “Windows Subsystem for Linux” option. Select “OK”. This will start applying the changes to your computer and at the end, will ask you to restart your computer. Allow to restart.
